Thank you for understanding that all visitors and non-essential health care personnel are restricted from entering the community at this time.

We appreciate your continued support over the last few months. This is a difficult and complicated time and we appreciate you adhering to our new policies.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) situation continues to evolve and change on almost a daily basis. Please know that we continue to receive updates from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and local and state health departments, in order to determine the best course of action to keep our residents and patients safe.

If you have any specific questions or would like additional information, please reach out to our community. We will continue to keep residents and patients, families and staff informed of any positive tests for COVID-19.

COVID-19 VACCINATIONS

The CDC has formally approved a recommendation that the first COVID-19 vaccines go to health care workers and residents of long-term care and assisted living communities. This is promising and uplifting news for our community, and we’ve taken steps so that residents and team members may receive the vaccine. This includes new residents. Plans for vaccine distribution continue to evolve, but we will keep you updated as we learn more. In the meantime, we will continue to follow safety guidelines, developed from regular updates we receive from the CDC and local and state health departments.

Our community has partnered with Walgreens Pharmacy to offer and administer the COVID-19 vaccine in the first phase of distribution. Vaccine clinics are scheduled on December 16, 2020 and January 4, 2021. For more information, or to discuss your options, call 727-785-8335 to speak with the admissions team.

For those who choose to receive the vaccine, the CDC recommends two doses in order to be effective. The purpose of each vaccine clinic is as follows:

  • The first clinic is for new residents, existing residents, and team members who choose to receive their first dose of the vaccine.
  • The second clinic is for new residents, existing residents, and team members who choose to receive their first dose of the vaccine, and those who are receiving their second dose.
  • The third clinic is for existing residents and team members who received their first dose at the second clinic, and are receiving their second dose.

As immunization efforts begin, learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine by visiting the CDC website.

PREVENTATIVE MEASURES

Our preventative measures include, and are not limited to, the following:

  • During this time, it is especially important that residents and patients stay connected with family, friends and the greater community. We will continue to support the use of technology and alternative ways to visit with residents such as Skype, FaceTime, phone calls and email. Please call and ask to speak to our Life Enrichment Director to schedule a time to talk with a resident or patient.
  • Residents and patients are reminded to practice social distancing, wear masks, and wash their hands frequently.
  • Essential visitors and essential health care personnel should enter through the main door and our community will actively screen and take temperatures to ensure they meet CDC guidelines.
  • Small internal resident activity groups are being offered and we continue to offer digital and virtual group interactions when technology is available.
  • Dining has been addressed for safe social distancing such as appropriate spacing in dining rooms, dining in apartment home or take away options.
  • Transportation services have been reduced to essential appointments only.
  • We are continuing to screen all staff as they enter the community per CDC guidelines including taking temperatures and we are instructing them to stay home if they are sick.
